About our NICU:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) at CHOC Children’s in Orange and Mission Viejo comprise 113 beds across two hospitals. Here, our Level III and IV NICU nurses provide critical support to the tiniest, most fragile patients. We offer the highest-level care using the latest technology to ensure the most favorable outcomes. Our NICU nurses work collaboratively alongside neonatologists, respiratory therapists and developmental teams. Our Level IV NICU features specialized ventilators, nitric oxide therapy, neonatal surgery and specialized diagnostics. NICU RNs are a key part of our dedicated transport team delivering infants to the unit via ambulance or helicopter.
