RN - Vascular Access Specialist
RN - Vascular Access Specialist SUMMARY: The Vascular Access Specialist is a licensed Registered Nurse who is accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's policies.
