Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise is growing and seeking a new full time Sedation RN to join our new Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team. This role will support expansion of the new facality and report to the Medical Imaging/Pain Management team.

The sedation RN will assist radiologist and staff with light sedation procedures, drop IV's, access ports, and monitor patients in recovery. The RN will train with the Meridian Medical Imaging Nursing team until COSM is open.

Schedule: 1.0 FTE Monday - Friday with schedules 0630-1500 and 0830-1700. No holidays. **(Target start date for role 12/1/2023).

COSM will bring together numerous complementary healthcare services, such as orthopedic walk-in care, a surgery center, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and many more. Patients will experience accessible and affordable orthopedic care unlike any other in the Treasure Valley. Our 230,000-square-foot facility will open to patients in February 2024.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
• Experience: 2+ years experience in procedural sedation and/or PACU or critical care.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
• BLS required- ACLS and PALS highly preferred
