Indiana University Health has an exciting opportunity to be a part of expanding women's health services to practice full-scope midwifery in our hospital-based clinic at University Hospital and Riley Maternity Tower.
Position Details:
Schedule includes rotating shifts with call and clinic coverage as needed.
Work directly with 10-12 physicians and 20 APPs
50% inpatient; 50% outpatient
Key Responsibilities include Midwifery Services, prenatal and postnatal care, routine preventative gynecological care, contraception administration, and water births
See low to high-risk, complex patient population
Procedures include vaginal delivery, episiotomy with repair, repair of 1st & 2nd degree lacerations, FSE/IUPC, LARC placement, vaginal microscopy
Qualifications:
Certified Nurse Midwife by the AMCB
Licensed or ability to be licensed in Indiana
Function in collaborative relationships with consulting physicians, as clinically indicated
Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care comfortably & confidently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, teaching & patient care skills specific to an emergent care setting
1 year experience preferred; previous clinic and hospital midwifery experience preferred

IU Health and IU School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians deliver at the Maternity Tower at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN.
