Memorial Healthcare System’s Division of Infectious Disease is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. The team provides comprehensive services to the community and beyond and offers accessible, high-quality care for patients with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B & C, travel-related illnesses, and other diseases. The selected candidate will provide independent routine medical care and deliver patient care through comprehensive assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and prevention of adverse outcomes. The provider will support the healthcare team and engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care. Responsibilities will also include treating acute conditions, managing chronic conditions, and coordinating care to minimize urgent care and ER visits.
Nurse Practitioner candidates must have a national Adult Acute or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certification. Physician Assistant candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM with rotating weekend call. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
