RN - Recovery Room - Full TIme/Days
SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.
REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Minimum 6 months of experience and mastery of RN I performance standards and accompanying competencies. D) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and E) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.
Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months and 3) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.
POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 11.5 hour shifts, Weekend and holiday call shared by staff and must have the ability to return to the hospital within a 30-minute time-frame when on call.
PAY RANGE: New Grad $34.66 - $61.20 / RN II - RN IV $37.09 - $61.20
