The RN will serve as an expert in infection prevention and control. Providing facility-wide quality improvement by performing surveillances and utilizing data to advocate for advancing the standard of care at VA NCHCS. She/he will provide guidance on reducing the transmission of infectious diseases in acute care, long-term care and outpatient care settings. Engages staff in patient care rounds to evaluate integration of IPC practices in all clinical areas. The RN should be capable of working effectively in stressful situations and able to shift priorities based on current system and patient needs.
