The Nursing Supervisor provides direct supervision and evaluation of infusion and certified home care nurses. And, works collaboratively with hospital case managers, other post-acute care departments, intake, quality, billing and related departments to coordinate care, build relationships and facilitate effective discharge planning and provision of patient care Key Responsibilities: - Understand and interpret/implement department and MM policies and procedures in a consistent manner
- Recruit, interview and select nurses and staff
- Work collaboratively with leadership teams in the hiring process
- Act as or appoint a case manager for all patients, and ensure that patient care is being provided in consideration of quality and financial metrics
- Perform skilled nursing visits when necessary to meet the needs of patients
- Assist in developing, implementing and participating in staff education programs, policies, guidelines orientation and in-services
Qualifications - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing
- Minimum five years of Registered Nurse experience
- At least two years of RN experience (within the last 5 years) in certified home care or home infusion
