Position performs clinical diagnostic nuclear medicine testing, including but not limited to general studies, cardiac studies and the computer interactions associated with these studies. Responsible for utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images to be interpreted by radiologists, cardiologist or medical physicians. Assists authorized users in the application and management of therapeutic radionuclides, is involved in the procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals. This position safely conducts nuclear testing, per ICANL and ARRA Guidelines in a controlled setting.

1. Performs regular quality control of nuclear equipment, nuclear camera and dose calibrator per ICANL protocols.
2. Checks in pharmaceuticals, fill saline syringes for daily use and insure proper disposal of red contaminate bags and sharps container per OSHA requirements.
3. Survey all incoming shipments of radiopharmaceuticals & Kits per ARRA and ICANL guidelines.
4. Ensure proper placement of IVs for testing. Verify, per physician orders, medication to be administrated.
5. Performs various modalities of nuclear testing acquiring proper images per testing protocols and per physician order and ICANL Policies.
6. Monitors patients for physiologic symptoms during testing and reports to supervising physician as needed.
7. Closely monitor the week�s schedule. Continue to inform the physician of schedule changes. Reschedule patient appointments as soon as notified of department changes.
8. Assists with ICANL quality assurance monitoring and reporting for accreditation requirements.

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Completion of Accredited Nuclear Medicine School or Radiology Technology School.
3. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) CRT, CPR.
4. Two years� nuclear medicine experience
5. Knowledge of medical and cardiac terminology.
6. Current BLS and ACLS certification
7. Demonstrated critical thinking ability in order to resolve problems and carry out instructions.
8. Ability to multi task.
9. Excellent verbal communication skills. Demonstrates a high sense of urgency at all times.
10. Ability to effectively communicate to all internal and external customers.
11. Manages tasks in a timely fashion.
12. Knowledge of basic computer and math skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents.
