Full-time, Mon-Friday The Chemo/Infusion RN, provides professional nursing care in accordance with known/accepted standards of practice and AVH policy. Utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan and makes recommendations for changes to medical treatment plan as appropriate. Educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement. The Chemo/Infusion RN, under the supervision of the Oncology Nurse Practitioner and the Clinical Director of Outpatient Clinics assists with the daily operations of the clinic including: patient care and education, triaging telephone calls, assisting with scheduling and billing of procedures, and preparing and maintaining medical records for the patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Associate Degree in Nursing required / BSN preferred 1-2 years clinical nursing experience in hospital preferred.
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONS Current Colorado nursing license or temporary permit Current BLS certification ONS chemo course completion required with 3 months Oncology Nurse Certification preferred within 2 years
